In a few short weeks Summer will be here! Vacation Bible School will begin on Sunday, June 27th. We have 10 young people going to Craig Springs. We have completed our program with the kids but they will have some fun outings during the Summer.
This month we celebrate Father’s Day, and I want to wish a blessed day for all of the fathers at Zion. We have many dedicated men at Zion and we are thankful for that.
I would like to share a story relating to Father’s Day: “A very small boy sat by himself on a big airliner. It was a very long flight, and though the stewardess kept an eye on him, he apparently was traveling quite alone.
Finally, a sympathetic passenger leaned forward to speak to him. “Aren’t you lonely” she asked. “Aren’t you nervous about flying alone?”
The child looked up with a confident smile. “I’m not alone,” he said, “this is my Daddy’s plane.” Just then a tall man in an airlines uniform paused beside him. “How's it going son?” The passenger watched the child go up the aisle, hand-in-hand with the captain of the plane.”
Here, in our everyday lives, we are always on our Father’s plane, under his watchful care. He is the pilot in command. God is with us every day of our lives. He is our Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can ever imagine.
