Zion Christian Church has lots of musical activities you can get involved in.
Take a look at the following:
Voices of Zion – This is a men only choir directed by Shirley Mills. They sing both contemporary and traditional songs with the accompaniment of the piano. They practice every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM and sing every first Sunday of the month as special music during worship service.
Adult Mixed Choir – This is a choir that is open to everyone: men, women, young adults and teenagers and is under the direction of Donna Michael. They also sing both contemporary and traditional songs but sing to pre-recorded music. They usually perform two cantatas (musicals) a year. They provide the music for the Christmas Eve Service and also for the Easter Service. This choir usually averages about 20-25 people per cantata and we would love to add your name to the list. They practice every Thursday at 7:30 PM during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
Praise Team – This is something new at Zion. We had some members who were interested in taking our worship service to a new level and the Praise Team was created. Most of the songs are contemporary and very upbeat. The team is designed to get you clapping and up on your feet to sing praises to the Lord! The Praise Team is directed by Donna Michael.
Children's Choir – This is for children from about 5 to 10 years old. They practice twice a month during children's church. The main focus is on old familiar songs, but they do try new things. Once they have mastered a song, they perform for the congregation. The Children's Choir is directed by Kim Hall.
As you can see, Zion offers many different ways for you to participate in our music program. Your skill level is not important. The only requirements you need are a love for the Lord and the desire to sing His praises. Please come join us!
